The Area's Premier School of Swimming
Hudson Valley Swim has been a member of various swim associations since first establishing. Many of our swim techniques were first introduced via those associations and fine-tuned to the needs of our customers over time.
In addition to teaching proper swim techniques, Hudson Valley Swim also introduces many safety concepts to our younger students, But as you know, the need for parents to know their role in water safety is imperative to keeping children safe. Many of our techniques and guidelines are discussed in our articles.
This program familiarizes young children, from ages 6 months to about 2.5 years, to the water and prepares them to learn to swim.
ELEMENTARY / AGES 3-7
All Elementary Lessons spotlight fundamental aquatics skills and safety. Levels range from basic beginner techniques to more advanced aquatic skill proficiency.
Each group is designed to accommodate a different level of comfort and ability within the water. All Youth Lessons focus on stroke development and improvement, as well as, endurance training.
TEEN/ADULT / AGES 13+
This program focuses on the needs and goals of each individual swimmer and is designed to build confidence in an aquatic environment.
PREPARE 4® COMPETITION CLINICS
Different levels within this program introduce students to the fundamentals of competitive swimming , teaching them to streamline, flip, turn, breath, enhanced stroke techniques and build their endurance. These clinics are recommended to swimmers that want to compete or are currenky competing and need to improve.
Hudson Valley Swim has been teaching people to swim since it opened 2003, serving over 1200 students each year. We run year-around at our flagship location at Gold's Gym in Newburgh, NY. In the summer, we teach at 2 additional outdoor locations at Taconic Sport & Racquet in Hopewell Junction, NY and Cross Court Tennis Club in Wappingers Falls, NY.
