Chrisanna’s swimming career began when she was a child on the USA swim team formally known as Big Blue. She continued swimming throughout high school for John Jay and represented them at the NY State Championships where she set several records. She began teaching the sport when she was only 15 and then was recruited to swim for SUNY Cortland where she also achieved her teaching degree. Chrisanna continued teaching swim lessons and taught a college level Aquarius course for the college. Chrisanna started coaching in her freshman year of college for Cortland Adaptive Swim Team (C.A.S.T), an adaptive swim program for children with different disabilities. Following graduation, Chrisanna became a USA swim coach for the Patriot Swim Team as well as the Head Coach for Peekskill High School. Chrisanna has been a swim instructor for 11 years and a coach for 8 years. She holds certifications in WSI, CPR, First Aid, Lifeguard, USA Coaching and High School Coaching and is fluent in American Sign Language (ASL)
Krizia was a member of the Roy C. Ketcham High School swim team for 6 years. She is WSI, Lifeguard and First Aid certified and has been teaching swimming for more than 12 years; most recently at Fishkill All Sport. Krizia joined Hudson Valley Swim in the fall of this year. She was a member of the Devilfish, Dolphins, Marist and JCC teams for 12 years. She has 3 years of coaching experience with the Patriots Swim Team, Cornwall Sea Dragons and the Rhinebeck Hawks. Krizia holds a B.S. General Science with minors in Chemistry and Psychology from Excelsior College in Albany, B.S. Medical Technology from Marist College. Krizia is fluent in American Sign Language (ASL)
RaChel has been swimming since she was an infant and learned her basic skills as a summer camper at Camp Victory Lake. She began taught swimming at Victory Lake for 3 summers in high school. In college, Ray worked as a lifeguard and instructor to the elementary and middle school students in the local area. She completed her A.A in Social Sciences at Dutchess Community College and continued her studies at SUNY New Paltz where she earned a B.A. in both International Relations and History. Ray has taught in Baltimore City Public Schools and has taught internationally in San Juan de la Maguana, Dominican Republic. Her love for teaching and swimming brought her to Hudson Valley Swim in May of 2017.
Jim has been in the aquatics field for more than 8 years. He trained in the prestigious Lenny Krayzelburg Swim Academy which was founded by 4-time Olympic gold medalist Lenny Krayzelburg. Jim has experience teaching at all levels including Special Needs. He is coming to Hudson Valley Swim from Life Time Athletic in Westchester County where he supervised their entire swim program. Jim has also run the swim program at the Jewish Community Center in Cherry Hill, NJ where he also coached the JCC Sharks prior to his relocation to NY.
|Morgan is a very experienced instructor, new to Hudson Valley Swim, with experience teaching all age groups. She holds a B.S. in Biology from Mount Saint Mary’s College. Morgan has been teaching swimming for 10 years on Long Island and most recently was the Head Instructor at the Union Community Fitness Center in Newburgh. She was a competitive swimmer with Ward Melville High School for 4 years and coached at Three Village Swim Club for 2 years. Morgan holds her WSI, Lifeguard and First Aid certificates and is a Certified Pool Operator as well.|
New to Hudson Valley Swim, Tameka has been an aquatics teacher for 4 years and has been tutoring children for 7 years. Her swimming background began at the age of 6 and she holds her WSI and First Aid/CPR certificates. Tameka is also a Certified Pool Operator. Tameka was an Aquatics Director at the Sportsplex in New Windsor and has taught at the YMCA of Greater New York in Harlem and Kingdom Dynamic Sports in Queens. Tameka holds an A.A.S. degree in Mathematics & Sciences from Queensborough Community College and a B.S. in Geology from City College of New York.
